Frequently asked questions about Vetericyn Wound and Skin Care

Vetericyn Wound and Skin Care is a self-care product for cleaning and caring for wounds, minor irritations, cuts and other conditions that are on the skin. Vetericyn contributes to the natural recovery of the skin and helps prevent fungal growth. Suitable for all animal species of all ages. Safe to use around mouth, nose and eyes.

When can Vetericyn be used?
Vetericyn Wound and Skin Care is used for cleaning wounds, inflammations, rashes, skin ulcers, hot spots, cuts, burns, post-operative areas, irritated skin and scrapes. Also for cleaning the navel and treating damaged nipples.

How does Vetericyn work?
Vetericyn can be seen as a super-saline solution with an antiseptic effect. The product cleanses the damaged skin without affecting the healthy tissue. The blood vessels open up, allowing more blood, oxygen and nutrients to reach the affected area. This accelerates the natural recovery of the skin by 60 to 80%. Vetericyn also inhibits the production of histamine, a substance that causes inflammation and itching.

How do I apply Vetericyn?
Application is simple: remove excess hair (if necessary) from the affected area and spray Vetericyn generously on the wound or damage. Vetericyn does not bubble, foam or hiss. Post-rinsing is also not necessary. It may feel like you are simply spraying with water, but the product will quickly do its job. For the first 48 hours, feel free to apply Vetericyn four to six times a day to speed up the healing process. After that, repeat two to three times a day.
