The inside is lined with shock-absorbing neoprene that is breathable, so that it transports moisture and heat to the outside and the leg stays cool and dry. The semi-rigid ironing part bends well so that the protector fits nicely on the leg. The edges are covered with tricot to prevent chafing on the horse's leg. The Velcro closures are strong and the elastic in the closures ensures a perfect fit.
