Beris Tandem with Tongue Port

The Beris Tandem with tongue arch is an anatomically shaped bit featuring a special flattened arch that provides extra space for the tongue. This creates greater comfort in the mouth, often resulting in improved relaxation, suppleness, and increased chewing activity. The design also prevents horses from placing their tongue over the bit, making it suitable for “tongue players” or horses that react sensitively to conventional bits with greater tongue pressure.

The Tandem system works with one rein and combines pressure at several points: the nasal bone, lower jaw, and poll area. This creates a combined action between the bit and bridle. It is therefore suitable for horses that are too sensitive to a bit alone but also do not respond well to a hackamore alone.

The beris mouthpiece is known for its smooth, horse-friendly plastic and high acceptance, encouraging many horses to seek a calmer contact and come better onto the bit.
