During the birth of a foal, the presence of a mare's owner is very important. However, it remains difficult to estimate exactly when a mare will give birth. The owner of a pregnant mare should nevertheless be alerted at the right time at all times.
When contractions start, a mare lies down on her flanks, a typical position of the birthing process. In this lateral position, the contractions can be handled better. Birth Alarm responds to this and automatically sounds the alarm when a mare lies completely on her flanks for 7.6 seconds.
The Birth Alarm Premium is the all-round Birth Alarm birth alarm. This foal birth alarm consists of a transmitter and receiver. This transmitter can be attached in different places. Several mobile phones can function as receivers. This way, you can remain mobile at all times and still check the status of the horse. Besides alerting, this system also has the possibility of sending status messages via SMS.
About 15% of pregnant mares sleep completely on their sides, making them an exception to the rule. For these mares, Birth Alarm Premium has developed a special function called sleep mode.
