Equilibrium Massage Pad
The Equilibrium Standard Massage Pad is designed to increase flexibility and promote relaxation in horses. It offers an effective 30-minute massage session, is battery operated and has four massage motors. The intensity can be adjusted through three different programs. It is lightweight and portable, has elastic belly straps for a comfortable fit and comes with a universal charger and high performance battery.
This massage pad is suitable for horses and ponies. Separate sizes are available for smaller ponies or larger horses.
Independent research conducted by Myerscough College in the United Kingdom shows that the massage pad provides significant benefits, including an increase in back flexibility of approximately 46% and increased stride length of 12 cm. The study also showed that horses were more relaxed while using the massage pad, which could improve their performance.
The massage pad has three settings (low, medium, high) and offers three types of massage (pulsating, vibrating and stroking) for comprehensive muscle treatment. It can be used before, after or during horse rest days, and helps improve circulation, support recovery after exercise, and general muscle maintenance.

How does the massage pad work?
The control panel allows you to choose a low, medium or high setting, allowing you to match the intensity of the program to your pony. Each program goes through a cycle of three different types of massage - pulsing, vibrating and stroking - to ensure that all muscles are worked in different ways.
Choose your setting:
- LOW to cool down after training, for a sensitive horse or to introduce the pad to your horse or pony for the first time.
- MEDIUM to warm up the muscles before training or for general maintenance.
- HIGH if your pony or horse prefers a more intense massage.
The massage pad works for 30 minutes before automatically turning off, but you can manually turn it off earlier if needed. It can be used alone or in combination with the Massage Mitt for a full-body massage, or the Massage Mitt Hotspot for a combination of heat and massage.
When do you use the Standard Massage Pad?
You can use the Standard Massage Pad before riding, after riding or on a rest day! Here are a few scenarios:
- Horses on box rest to maintain good circulation.
- After training to aid recovery.
- Before training as part of the warm-up.
- At a competition after traveling to relax.
- On your horse's rest day as general maintenance.
- At any time as a reward.
