HELTIE horse® Detox has a positive effect on the liver and gallbladder function of horses and is good for kidney function and the urinary tract. It supports the cleansing effect of the liver and assists kidney function.
Detoxing, or the process whereby the horse’s body eliminates waste products and accumulated toxins. The goal of detoxing is to cleanse the body and support natural functions. Naturally, horses detox themselves, in the autumn by eating certain herbs and at the end of winter when horses in the wild lose weight dramatically, allowing toxins to be released and leave the body. Our modern horses no longer have this natural detox process, and it may be advisable to support your horse with a detox supplement for horses.

HELTIE horse Detox for horses is a herbal supplement based on turmeric, boldo, artichoke, and milk thistle. This natural supplement for horses has many benefits:
- Supports the liver: HELTIE horse Detox has a positive effect on the liver and supports liver function in horses. Detox has a cleansing effect on the horse's liver.
- Supports the kidneys: Helps to support the horse's kidneys, beneficial for kidney function and supports the urinary tract.
- Supports gallbladder function: HELTIE horse Detox supports gallbladder function (in the liver). Horses do not have a gallbladder; the liver produces small amounts of bile for the digestion of fats.
- Short course of 7 days: A detox for horses is very intensive, it requires a lot of energy and can cause fatigue. Therefore, HELTIE horse Detox is a short course of just 7 days, so your horse can enjoy the benefits of detox without being overburdened for too long.
Detox for horses: when to do it and when not to?
In principle, you should apply a detox to your horse twice a year, in spring and autumn. A detox is intensive for horses and requires a lot of energy, so it is not suitable for all horses. We are big fans of detoxing, but it should always be given after careful consideration. Therefore, consult with us, a naturopath, or a veterinarian if you are unsure whether a detox for your horse is responsible.
Dosing & Application:
HELTIE horse® Detox can be given as a top dressing over your horse's feed or administered directly into the mouth with a syringe.
Dosing:
- Maintenance: 1 x daily 50 ml per horse for 7 days.
- If in doubt: Contact us for the correct dosage for your horse. Every horse and situation is different.
Not suitable for pregnant mares unless consulted with a veterinarian or therapist.
