HELTIE horse® DHA Algae is back! A different type of algae, but with an even higher DHA percentage, namely at least 20%! A vegan alternative to, for example, salmon oil.
Omega-3 is important for horses, as it plays a role in the immune system, skin and coat, fertility, joints, and on the nervous system and brain. Horses that graze obtain a form of omega-3 this way, namely ALA. And this form can be converted by the horse into DHA, as DHA is the form of omega-3 that the horse can utilize. However, in some cases, this conversion does not occur optimally, and then the horse does not benefit from the omega-3 in ALA form. Therefore, if you want to supplement omega-3, it is always advisable to choose a DHA form, which is present in salmon oil and algae.

HELTIE horse® DHA Algae is a vegetarian alternative to fish oil. Ideal if you do not want to give your horse salmon oil or if your horse does not eat it. HELTIE horse® DHA Algae is suitable for all horses and ponies, but especially for:

Dosage & Application
HELTIE horse® DHA Algae can be given over or mixed into the feed.
Dosage:
- Low: 1 gram per 100 kg body weight
- High: 2 grams per 100 kg body weight *a leveled scoop weighs approximately 4-5 grams
