Vitamin E without selenium, but with grape extract
HELTIE Horse® Vitamin E for horses without selenium is based on wheat germ oil, grape extract, and added vitamin E (RRR-α-tocopherol). For recovery after physical exertion, with stiff muscles, and for daily maintenance.
Vitamin E is an important vitamin for horses that is involved in many processes in the horse's body. Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that protects muscle cells from the effects of free radicals. Additionally, vitamin E supports the immune system of horses and is important for a well-functioning nervous system. Besides these basic processes, vitamin E is also involved in the fertility of mares and stallions.
Horses should obtain vitamin E from their diet, with fresh greens being an important source of vitamin E for horses. Not all horses have access to (sufficient) fresh grass, and some horses have a higher requirement for vitamin E. Additional supplementation of vitamin E with HELTIE horse Vitamin E is therefore recommended.

- Natural vitamin E: HELTIE horse Vitamin E for horses is a natural vitamin E based on wheat germ oil, grape extract, and added vitamin E (RRR-α-tocopherol).
- Extra powerful due to grape extract: Grape extract is an even more potent antioxidant than vitamin E, making it effective for recovery after physical exertion, for stiff muscles, and as extra protection against free radicals.
- Consciously without selenium: Most horses receive enough selenium from other sources. HELTIE horse Vitamin E is therefore consciously without selenium so it can be safely given in high doses to horses that need it.
- For horses without access to grazing: Vitamin E for horses is recommended for horses that do not have access (or limited access) to grazing.
- For horses that need extra muscle support: Horses with an increased need for vitamin E can safely supplement with high doses of HELTIE horse Vitamin E.
- 1010 IU Vitamin E: per 10 ml of HELTIE horse Vitamin E, you provide your horse with 1010 IU of vitamin E. This is considered a basic maintenance dose for horses and ponies.
5L refill package available
If you use HELTIE horse Vitamin E for multiple horses or for an extended period, it is more economical to order a 5L jerrycan, which allows you to refill the dosing bottle. There is also a 10 ml dispenser available separately in the webshop for direct dosing from the jerrycan.
Dosing & Application
HELTIE Horse® Vitamin E for horses can be provided as a top dressing over feed or administered directly with a syringe into the mouth.
Dosing:
- Low (maintenance): 10 ml per day
- High: as needed (you give 1010 IU of Vitamin E per 10ml)
