HorseFlex Electrolyte Mix
HorseFlex Electrolyte Mix is a supplementary feed for horses to support the fluid and electrolyte balance.
This mix consists of various minerals such as sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium which are important for the fluid balance in horses. A horse loses electrolytes daily through sweating, urination and feces. It is good to keep this loss of fluid and electrolytes in balance. With a shortage of electrolytes your horse can retain fluid less well, the elasticity of the skin decreases and the endurance decreases.
During periods of exertion, such as competitions and training, a horse can lose significantly more electrolytes, especially when it is very hot. A horse's body cannot retain water without the presence of electrolytes. Adding these electrolytes to the drinking water ensures that both fluid and electrolytes remain in good balance. HorseFlex Electrolyte mix can also be added to the daily feed, but then also ensure sufficient drinking water.
When should I supplement my horse with electrolytes?
With an average effort of about an hour of trotting and galloping at normal temperatures, a 500kg horse loses about 5 to 7 litres of sweat. Under these conditions, your horse can still sufficiently replenish the lost electrolytes with a salt lick and through its daily ration. When your horse makes the same effort at high temperatures, your horse can lose 10 to 12 litres of sweat! Under these conditions, a horse cannot replenish the lost body salts quickly enough with just its ration and it is advisable to give extra electrolytes. Dosage
This product can easily be added to drinking water and can be given both before and after training. Don't want to add it to drinking water? No problem! It can also be added to daily food, but make sure there is enough drinking water. You can moisten the powder so that it doesn't blow out of the bowl.
– Horse or pony up to 350kg – 15 grams / 1 scoop per day.
– Horse over 350kg – 30 grams / 2 scoops per day.
It can be given safely for long periods. Do not exceed the daily dose.

HorseFlex Electrolyte mix is a 100% pure powder without added sugar, flavourings and colourings.
Composition: Sodium chloride, Potassium chloride, Magnesium (as citrate), Calcium (as citrate), Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), Rosehip powder.
