Raspberry leaf as a supplement for horses
Raspberry leaf has several beneficial properties for horses. It provides support to the digestion and the entire gastrointestinal tract. For example, raspberry leaf contributes to healthy bowel movements. In addition, raspberry leaf contains polyphenols. These are natural antioxidants that protect the horse's body against free radicals. Although free radicals are a natural byproduct of the body, these aggressive substances can cause a lot of damage. Raspberry leaf contains natural antioxidants that contribute to the protection of the horse's body against these harmful free radicals.
Raspberry leaf during and after fruiting
Raspberry leaf also offers support for pregnant mares. The leaf of the raspberry bush helps to prepare the uterus and abdominal muscles for childbirth. In this way, it has a relaxing effect on the uterus and contributes to its self-healing capacity. In this way, raspberry leaf stimulates a relaxed childbirth and contributes to the recovery of the abdomen.
Because the leaves have a stimulating effect on the uterus, it is important not to use it in the first 9 months of pregnancy. We therefore recommend giving pregnant mares raspberry leaf in the last 2 months of pregnancy. Raspberry leaf can also be given after pregnancy because it can have a stimulating effect on milk production.
