HorseFlex Stomach Balance
HorseFlex Maag Balans is a supplementary feed for horses to support the stomach and digestion. It is a powder mix of various herbs and minerals such as camomile, angelica, dandelion, peppermint and magnesium.
Maag Balans is a completely natural mix of herbs and minerals to support the stomach and digestion of a horse. For example, the mix contains the mineral calcium carbonate. Calcium carbonate has the property that it neutralizes stomach acid, which contributes to the maintenance of a normal acidity. In addition, the supplement has a calming effect on the stomach of a horse.
The refill products are not delivered in a jar, but in a bag.
When do you give stomach supplements?
A horse's stomach is relatively small, with a capacity of approximately 8 to 15 litres. This is also why horses can only eat small portions at a time. By nature, a horse eats small portions spread throughout the day. On average, a horse in nature is busy chewing roughage (hay and/or grass) for about 16 hours a day. A horse's body is fully adapted to this, which is also very important for the stomach to function properly.
If a horse does not get enough roughage or does not have access to roughage for more than 2 hours, the acidity in the stomach can become unbalanced. A horse's stomach continuously produces stomach acid to process food. Is there too little food in the stomach? Then too much stomach acid ends up in the stomach. Stomach acid is needed to digest food and is therefore very powerful. Too much stomach acid can irritate the stomach wall and ultimately have serious consequences. Dosage
This product can easily be given over the food. You may moisten the powder so that it is not blown out of the bowl.
– Pony up to 350kg – 12 grams per day.
1 measuring spoon twice a day or 2 measuring spoons once a day.
– Horse over 350kg – 18 grams per day.
1.5 scoops twice a day or 3 scoops once a day.
