Kentucky Tendon Boots Bamboo Elastic

Focusing on sustainability, Kentucky has developed a new green technology that everyone knows. Bamboo is the fastest growing plant in the world that has an enormous tensile strength, avoids the penetration of sharp objects and is antibacterial.

The tendon boots are made of a strong TPU frame with multiple ventilation holes at the tendon area and a larger triangular mesh ventilation. The tendon area is reinforced with bamboo shield to prevent penetration. Where the horse bends, a soft piece of natural rubber is added to prevent rubbing. The inner part of the tendon insertion is reinforced with an extra layer of TPU to withstand high wear and tear.

Kentucky has its own internal testing machine which creates a force of 80N and drops a razor sharp axe on a horizontal horse leg. The Bamboo tendon boots withstand this extreme testing method which cannot be compared to any real impact while riding. The tendon boots are also Rico test approved and RCT certified.

Fabrics & Materials
The tendon boots are made with the very breathable and well-known 3D Spacer lining which is used in the 3D Spacer brushing boots and blankets. They have a robust outer frame of lightweight but strong TPU, with an additional bamboo shield in the tendon area for optimal protection against any impact and penetration of sharp objects and is also antibacterial.

Shape and size
Thanks to the anatomically shaped design, the tendon boots fit snugly around the horse's leg for maximum comfort and protection. This allows the horse maximum freedom of movement for better jumping. The soft and flexible rubber insert below the joint also offers the horse more comfort of movement. The tendon boots are available in sizes S, M and L. Size M fits like a full.

Care instructions
The tendon boots are machine washable at 30°C (no tumble drying). We always advise to use a washing bag to avoid scratches caused by the tumble dryer. You can use the Kentucky Boots Cleaner to give the tendon boots the finishing touch so that they look like new again.
