Loer Horsefly Trap Complete
The Loer horsefly trap catches horseflies by deceiving the female horseflies. The black ball is heated by the sun and gently moves back and forth. The horsefly is attracted by this moving heat source, and mistakes the black ball for prey. It lands on the ball, stings and then flies upwards (towards the light) in disappoitment. She then ends up in the collection tray via the trap.
