In unfamiliar or stressful situations, such as transport or treatment by the vet, dentist or farrier, a horse may experience stress and instinctively want to flee. The amount of stress horses experience is not always the same and depends, among other things, on character and experience. Unfortunately, sometimes it is unavoidable that your horse will be exposed to a stressful situation. In that case, Pavo BeChill can help reduce stress quickly (within 30 min - 2 hours) and promote relaxation.

Supplement to reduce Stress
A stress response in the horse's body is influenced by signalling substances sent to and from the brain. Basically, these signalling substances can send two messages: a stress message (watch out, danger!) and a relaxation message (stay calm, don't panic). An increasing amount of stress messages can be recognised by an increased heart rate, faster breathing, sweating and tense muscles. On the other hand, when the amount of relaxation messages is increased, the heart and breathing rate return to normal and muscles become loose and supple. In stressful situations, stress messages increase and relaxation messages decrease. This makes your horse more alert and ready to flee. Pavo BeChill works both ways: it limits the increase of stress messages on the one hand and blocks the breakdown of relaxation messages on the other.

The main ingredients of Pavo BeChill are lemon balm and magnesium. Lemon balm is a natural ingredient with a powerful effect and has a great effect on the stress response in horses. It causes the breakdown of relaxation messages to be blocked, leaving more relaxation in the body. Magnesium is one of the most well-known ingredients that help stressed and nervous horses. Moreover, it has been proven that the concentration of cortisol (stress hormone) is significantly lower after magnesium administration. Magnesium helps block the production of stress messages, reducing the signals the body receives to increase heart rate and breathing, start sweating and tighten muscles.
