PUUR Glucosamine extra

Pure Glucosamine extra for smooth movement in horses and ponies. Good for building cartilage, keeps joints supple. 

Dosage:
1-2x daily (1 measuring spoon contains approximately 9 grams)
Horse 1 measuring spoon
Pony 2/3 scoop

When in practice it is difficult to administer the product several times a day, one can also choose to administer it once a day or once every two days. In that case, give the maximum dosage for one day. The product is then also effective, but the reaction may take a little longer.

Please note: the horse variant differs from the dog variant due to Ginger in PUUR Glucosamine extra / Glucosamine complete 500g and 1000g for horse and pony.

Administration:
Can be given through the feed. Moisten the powder so it is not blown out of the bowl. Watch the reaction of the animal. Give the animal the necessary rest, but also make sure it gets enough exercise. In case of pain during movement, it is wise to regularly take the animal for short walks. Especially straight-line movements are good to keep the joints flexible and to strengthen ligaments and tendons. Abrupt stopping and turning, such as playing with other animals, should be avoided. This puts too much strain on the muscles, tendons and joints.

Duration of treatment:
For prolonged discomfort, the effect is usually visible after 2 to 3 weeks. 

Maintenance dosage:
If there is improvement, a choice can be made to switch to a maintenance dosage. A maintenance dosage is usually half of the indicated dosage on the package. Do watch the reaction of the animal carefully when dosing this product. A higher dosage may be required in the beginning. This product can safely be given in double dosage. When improvement is noticeable, gradually decrease the dosage to the lowest possible dosage.

Interaction and contraindication:
During pregnancy and lactation always apply in consultation with the attending veterinarian.

To date, no adverse reactions to this product are known or reported.

Storage:
Store this product in a dry place and at a temperature between 5-20°C. Keep this product out of reach of children. Avoid direct sunlight.
