The Samshield cap is a beautiful riding helmet! Furthermore, the lining of this Samshield cap can be washed and the cap has a very good ventilation! This cap meets the highest safety standards, namely; VG1 (CE VG1 01.040 2014-12).
Samshield has a unique sizing system with 3 cap sizes and different liner sizes, so you can change the cap size later on with another size liner! This way you don't have to buy an expensive new cap when you need a size smaller or bigger later.

MATERIALS FOR OPTIMAL SAFETY
The exterior of the Samshield Shadowmatt helmet is made of polycarbonate, a material that is used for high-end motorcycle helmets, among other things. The helmet is covered with a matte anti-scratch paint finish. The inner shell is made of variable-density polystyrene that allows for better dissipation of the energy produced in a collision.
STABILITY
The internal comfort foam (liner) with "shape memory" ensures a constant thickness during the years of use and the semi-flexible neck strap avoids any risk of tipping over in the event of an abrupt movement. This internal comfort foam is removable thanks to a much stronger clip system than the scratch/Velcro system. It can therefore be washed (max. 30 °C) and thus ensures a constantly clean helmet.
PERFECT SIZE ADJUSTMENT FOR UNPARALLELED COMFORT
A thorough anthropomorphic study led to a shell shape on the inside with an unmatched fitting comfort design. Available in 3 shell sizes (S, M, L). Each shell accommodates 5-6 foam layers (liners) of different sizes on the inside for a perfect fit to the rider's head. The grid size is available from 51-61. With this system it is also possible to follow the growth of a young rider.
POWERFUL INTERNAL AIRFLOW
Equipped with an air intake at the front, the Shadowmatt helmet provides exceptional ventilation. Fresh air is channeled through the front access to openings at the back around the comfort foam, preventing sweating. This concept provides strong internal airflow, avoiding the need for visible and unsightly air intakes: the equestrian elegance is maintained without sacrificing technicality and comfort.
The Shadowmatt is available with the dressage chinstrap option: this option allows women to wear their hair in a bun without being restricted by the helmet's harness. This chinstrap is 2.5 cm shorter for more room for the hair bun.
