This product can be used against:
- (Tropical) mosquitoes and biting flies on humans (riders)
- Mosquitoes, flies (including stable flies) on horses not intended for consumption
- Mosquitoes and ticks on dogs
Instructions for use for the Netherlands:
The instructions for use must be followed.
• Do not use on children under 3 years.
• When applying to horses, apply the product only before riding the horse.
• Apply the product to horses or dogs only indoors (in a ventilated area) or outdoors over a hard surface. This is to prevent soil contamination.
• Rinsing horses and dogs treated with this product is only permitted at indoor wash bays or at least over a hard surface. This is to prevent soil contamination. The product is intended for non-professional use only.
General:
Hold the spray can 10 to 15 cm from the skin while spraying, keeping the spray opening away from your face. Treat the skin with a slow sweeping motion. To apply to the head, first spray a small amount into your palms and then spread over the head and neck. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated place. Due to health risks, apply the product to humans, horses and dogs no more than once per day.
Note:
Factors such as temperature, humidity and sweating can affect the efficacy.
Horses:
Use TEDAX® on horses that will be exposed to mosquitoes or flies (including stable flies), for example before a hack, a competition or grazing. For a 450 kg horse, apply 200 g TEDAX® per application by spraying evenly over the body surface for at least 2 minutes. TEDAX® protects against flies (including stable flies) and mosquitoes for 24 hours (based on 90% protection). Protection starts immediately after application.
Riders:
Use TEDAX® shortly before contact with (tropical) mosquitoes or biting flies is expected, for example before a hack or competition. Apply TEDAX® evenly to exposed skin. Avoid spraying on eyes and mouth. For the face and neck: spray a small amount into the palm of your hand and spread over the skin. TEDAX® protects for 6 hours against (tropical) mosquitoes and 4 hours against biting flies (based on 100% protection). Protection starts immediately after application.
Dogs:
Use TEDAX® on dogs that will be exposed to mosquitoes or ticks: for example for walks, hunting, at greyhound tracks, or at outdoor shows. For a 40 kg dog, apply 11 g TEDAX® by spraying evenly over the body surface for at least 7 seconds. TEDAX® protects 8 hours against mosquitoes and 4 hours against ticks (based on 90% protection). Protection starts immediately after application.

Horses:
TEDAX® protects against biting and non-biting insects for up to 24 hours. Spray onto the area to be protected until the coat is slightly damp. Hold the spray can 10 to 15 cm from the horse while spraying. In the head area of the horse you can apply TEDAX® with your hand. Use TEDAX® on horses that will be exposed to biting insects, for example before a hack, a competition or grazing.
Riders:
TEDAX® provides effective insect protection. When applied evenly over the skin, TEDAX® protects up to 8 hours against common and tropical mosquitoes, up to 5 hours against biting flies (e.g. horseflies or tabanids) and up to 4 hours against ticks. TEDAX® feels refreshing and is easy to apply.
Active ingredient:
Saltidin® (Icaridin) 20% (200 g/kg) (CAS 119515-38-7), Ethanol 27.5% (CAS 64-17-5), Propan-2-ol 1.5% (CAS 67-63-0) and Hexyl salicylate 0.1% (CAS 6259-76-3).
