Synovium Sand-Oil 369
Synovium Sand-Oil 369 is used to aid the removal of sand from the intestines and to promote digestion. This feed supplement contains psyllium; a fiber that can attract moisture and help remove sand and other debris from the gut. Research has shown that psyllium combined with omega oils removes 25% more sand from the intestines than psyllium alone, thereby reducing the risk of sand colic.

Synovium Sand-Oil 369 is a unique formula of various nutritional additives, scientifically substantiated and available from many equine veterinarians. This nutritional supplement for horses contains mainly psyllium. Psyllium is made from the seeds of the Plantago plant. It is a fiber that can improve intestinal function and thereby reduce the risk of sand colic.
Psyllium can attract a large amount of moisture and then becomes a gel-like substance. This substance carries sand and other debris out. Synovium Sand-Oil 369 has a swelling volume of 50 ml/g, which is well above the average of 40 ml/g.
Recent research has shown that psyllium in combination with omega oils removes 25% more sand from the intestines than psyllium alone (February 2008, Journal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition). Synovium Sand-Oil 369 is used to remove sand from the intestines and to promote digestion. The Omega 3-6-9 oils also contribute to improved coat and hoof quality.
Administration:
- Horse and pony: in case of sand in the intestines, add 150 g daily to the feed for a course of 21 days. Or, each month 50 g twice a day for 7 days.
- Foal: in case of sand in the intestines, add 50 g daily to the feed for a course of 21 days. Or, each month 25 g twice a day for 7 days.
Measuring scoop of 60 ml contains 50 grams.
