A 2.5 ring bit is a milder version of a 3 ring (pessoa) bit. With this bit, a leverage effect can be created. The lower the reins are placed, the stricter the bit becomes. An ideal bit for horses that are very strong in the course, grab the bit, or run through the hand. Compared to the 2.5 bus bit, the water bit rings can move freely, allowing for more movement in the bit and the aid from the hand to have a more indirect effect.

This mouthpiece is a lever with a medium tongue arch. The tongue arch provides more freedom for the tongue, so there is no pressure on the tongue but is distributed over the layers. This makes the bit ideal for horses with a sensitive tongue or horses that stick out their tongue. This bit is not suitable for an inexperienced rider.
