Trust Sweet Iron Baby Pelham Cherry Roller 16 mm

The Pelham cheekpiece combines the action of a basic snaffle with that of a curb-and-snaffle bridle in an innovative way.

This handy bit has a single cheekpiece but offers the flexibility to be ridden with one or two pairs of reins. When you choose to ride with a single rein, a pelham strap connects the bit rings to the shank rings.

Thanks to its leverage action, the Pelham is ideal for stronger horses; the longer the shanks, the sharper the effect. The "Baby Pelham" variant is fitted with shorter shanks and therefore delivers a noticeably milder action. The anatomically slightly curved TRUST design molds perfectly to the horse’s mouth for optimal pressure distribution.

This bit is particularly suited to powerful horses, horses with limited mouth space for a double mouthpiece, or for introducing a curb-and-snaffle. Due to its specific action, this bit is not suitable for inexperienced riders.
