This Trust eggbut bit is a pony version, the center piece is extra narrow and the rings are smaller as well. This eggbut bit has a double-jointed mouthpiece and a round centerpiece that gives pressure on the tongue. The flatter the centerpiece the sharper the bit. A double-jointed bit has the advantage that it adapts more easily to the horse's mouth than a single-jointed bit.

The bust bit is a basic bit in which the rings cannot move separately from the mouthpiece, making the rein aids more sharply effective than with a loose ring snaffle. They are available in single jointed, double jointed or barbed versions with or without a port.

Sweet iron develops by contact with (air) humidity surface cough that tastes sweet and naturally stimulates salivation. This will cause the horse to foam more, which improves acceptance of the bit. This rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue color of TRUST bits to brownish gray. When temporarily not using a sweet-iron bit, an orange-brown rust layer may form on the mouthpiece. This can be easily removed by wiping the bit with a damp cloth.
