Trust Sweet Iron eliptical Dr. Bristol loose ring 16 mm

The Sweet Iron dr. Bristol loose ring by Trust is a eliptical bit of which the middle part is thinner. When the horse is relaxed during riding the middle piece is flat on the tongue give a light pressure. When the horse comes against the bit the middle part flips which creates more and sharper pressure.

The loose ring:

The loose ring is a basic bit wich can be used by experiencend and unexperiencend riders. The mouth piece can move independently from the rings. They are available in single jointed and double jointed vaiarities. The thinner the bit the more leverage the rider obtains.

The trust bit types,The Sweet Iron:

Sweet iron will rust when it comes into contact with (air) humidity; the surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will cause the horse to salivate more which in turn encourages better acceptance of the bit. The rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue colour of the TRUST-bit to a brownish-grey.If a sweet iron bit is not used for a while, an orange-brown rust layer may develop on the mouthpiece. Simply remove this by wiping the bit with a damp cloth.
