De Trust Sweet Iron jointed snaffle is a bit with loose bit rings and cherry rollers. The cherry rollers help the horse focus and accept the bit quicker. The rollers improve the chewing on the bit and therefore relaxes the jaws of the horse, his makes the horses more relaxed in the neck. This bit is suited for horses who are stronger in the mouth or have difficulties relaxing the jaws and neck. 

The loose ring:

The loose ring is a basic bit wich can be used by experiencend and unexperiencend riders. The mouth piece can move independently from the rings. They are available in single jointed and double jointed vaiarities. The thinner the bit the more leverage the rider obtains.

Sweet iron will rust when it comes into contact with (air) humidity; the surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will cause the horse to salivate more which in turn encourages better acceptance of the bit. The rusting process (oxidation) changes the blue colour of the TRUST-bit to a brownish-grey.If a sweet iron bit is not used for a while, an orange-brown rust layer may develop on the mouthpiece. Simply remove this by wiping the bit with a damp cloth.
