This Velari bit sits comfortably and stably in the horse's mouth and provides a direct, attentive connection from the first contact. The single-jointed design offers clear communication between rider and horse, while the cheek pieces provide extra lateral guidance and keep the bit still in the mouth. This makes the bit particularly suitable for young or less experienced horses who benefit from clear direction and calmness in the contact.

The mouthpiece of sweet iron naturally oxidizes during use, stimulating saliva production. This leads to a softer mouth, finer contact, and a relaxed way of moving. Horses that are sensitive to bit materials often appreciate the warm, slightly sweet flavor of sweet iron.
