Spring and autumn are the times when horses go through many changes. Not only does shedding take centre stage, but also the change in day length (light), temperature and your horse's diet change. This has an effect on your horse's hormone balance and metabolism. So the season has a big influence on your horse's metabolism! Spring and autumn are therefore intensive periods for the liver and kidneys. The body produces a lot of free radicals (waste products), which have to be broken down by the liver. When to give a detox?
In the wild, horses take care of their own detox. In spring and autumn, horses search for herbs with a cleansing effect. The special thing is that these herbs grow precisely at that time, so that the body can break down and get rid of (accumulated) waste. The spring and autumn are therefore ideal for a detox. Your horse will enter the winter 'clean' if you can clear away all the waste products from the past year. DetoxMix from VITALstyle (formerly ECOstyle) supports the cleansing effect of the liver and optimal kidney function thanks to the powerful herbs. It also supports a good breakdown and removal of (accumulated) waste.  It is therefore a good 'cleaner' if your horse has been dewormed, has been given (a lot of) medication such as antibiotics and painkillers or is sensitive to summer itchiness. How do you give DetoxMix?
DetoxMix is given daily during a cure of 2-3 weeks so that your horse is optimally supported in spring and autumn. The pellets can be mixed with the regular feed of your horse or pony, but can also be added to a slobber. In that case, give the slobber immediately after mixing it with DetoxMix. 

Feeding advice

You give 10 grams of DetoxMix per 100 kg of body weight. A full measuring cup contains 30 grams. It is safe to feed DetoxMix to pregnant mares.

Composition: Herbs (incl. nettle, fenugreek, milk thistle seed, juniper and birch leaf), wheat germs, malt sprouts, yeast.
Analysis: 14% crude protein, 9% crude fat, 12% crude fibre, 11% ash, 0.3% sodium.

Fenugreek: supports the liver function for a good breakdown of waste.
Milk thistle seed: protects and supports the detoxifying effect on the liver so that waste products are broken down properly.
Juniper berry: rich in antioxidants for the elimination of free radicals throughout the body.
Birch leaf: powerfully supports kidney function for proper excretion of waste.
Nettle: rich in antioxidants and has a broad effect on metabolic organs such as the liver and pancreas, powerfully supporting kidney function for proper excretion of waste products. It also supports the pancreas.
