GastroComplex from VITALstyle was specially developed for horses with a sensitive stomach. It protects against the influences of stress, protects the stomach wall and contains buffers to maintain a normal acidity in the stomach. The complex of soothing and buffering ingredients ensures that a good acidity level is maintained in the stomach. The stomach lining is also protected and softened thanks to the herbal extracts.

A horse's stomach constantly produces gastric acid to aid in the digestion of food. Saliva neutralises the acidic gastric juice. A horse only produces saliva by chewing. If the stomach is empty for a long time or if little saliva is produced, the stomach acid can attack the stomach wall, which is very painful. Stress also affects the stomach. Stress reduces the blood supply to the stomach wall, making it even more sensitive to stomach acid. It is therefore very important to prevent stress and to ensure that horses can eat small portions throughout the day, so that sufficient saliva is produced.
