The ''THERMOBOOT'' is specially designed for easy application of cold and heat therapies directly on tendons and joints of horses. Made of noprene with an internal thermal aluminum coating to better insulate and prolong the cold/warm effect. The protector also includes a 3D mesh lining to protect the horse's skin from burning, allowing optimal cold/heat transfer. The unique shape of the THERMOBOOT is designed to ensure stability and comfort during use, promoting optimal contact with tendons and joints.
The strong closure system ensures perfect adherence to the leg and the "easy-pull" flap helps and accelerates safe removal of the protector. Regular use of THERMOBOOT for short periods (20-30 minutes) after intense exercise can help prevent minor injuries and/or trauma to ligaments, tendons and joints and reduce localized swelling, heat and pain. It can be worn on both front and hind legs. Contains two special Gel-Packs (one for each protector).
The goal of cold therapy is to break the cycle of inflammatory response before it causes cell damage. Cold therapy reduces the amount of tissue lost to secondary injury.
The goal of heat therapy is to dilate blood vessels, increasing blood flow to the application site. This results in greater transport of oxygen and nutrients to that area, which promotes healing. Such treatment can also help relax the muscles and increase the elasticity of the connective tissue in the specific area for better performance.

Cold therapy can be used as a daily treatment for your horse. During intense exercise, microtrauma can occur in capillaries, tendons and ligaments. Cold Therapy
Cold therapy can be used as a daily treatment for your horse. During intense exercise, microtrauma can occur in capillaries, tendons and ligaments. Subsequent hyperemia can persist with a pro-inflammatory effect. Cold therapy has positive effects on this. The faster the temperature of tendons can be lowered after exercise, the better. The Thermoboot can also help treat hematomas, sprains, injuries and tendon damage in horses. The Thermoboot is to be used in sessions of 20-30 minutes, 4 or more times a day. Use the boots only in consultation with a veterinarian. The pad can be used for cold therapy when chilled in the freezer for 2-3 hours.
Heat therapy
Heat therapy is ideal for supporting blood flow to a specific body part, eliminating residual inflammation, promoting nutrient flow and thereby stimulating healing. Heat can also be useful before exercise and for horses with arthritis. Application of heat can increase soft tissue elasticity, flexibility and suppleness of muscles during exercise. Heat also acts as a temporary analgesic and reduces pain. Heat should be introduced gradually into your horse's recovery program after an injury. In case of swelling, apply heat only 24 hours after no increase in swelling is observed. Alternation between heat and cold therapy, gradually increasing the time heat is used and decreasing the use of cold therapy per session, allows for transition to heat therapy only. The Thermoboot can be used in sessions of 20-30 minutes, 4 or more times a day. The pad can be used after heating in boiling water (from the source) for 10 minutes.
