A few months ago, Britt tested out the Rambo Summer Series Turnout summer blanket for us. After this, she was able to tell us in detail how she and her horse liked it so far.
The Rambo Summer Series Turnout summer blanket is the ideal blanket for climates where summer rain is also a regular occurrence! With its softshell made waterproof top and 600D mesh sides, this makes the ideal blanket for your horse to wear from late spring to early autumn. The mesh sides ensure that the rug breathes well and your horse does not get too hot. Comfort is always paramount, and this Rambo rug doesn't disappoint in performance. The 'easy to use' disc front closure eliminates additional weight around the shoulder and chest area. The rug comes with a detachable neck and 100g liner for cold summer nights. You can easily attach the 100g liner to the blanket using the "clip in and go" system.
The cross surcingles ensure that this rug is a secure and adjustable fit with our signature 'shine enhancing' mane, tail and shoulder lining to prevent rug rubs and finished with a PVC covered, wipe clean tail cord.
Britt van Schie's experience with the Rambo Summer Series Turnout summer blanket:
"This is the ideal blanket if your horse is bothered by the flies and if there are frequent rain showers coming from the sky! There is a fixed neck on the rug which is also waterproof lined. This combination allows this blanket to be used for a long time in changing weather.
In addition, the waterproof fabric is breathable and not too warm. Should your horse be outside 24/7, for example, you can choose to use the supplied 100-gram liner on cold nights. The liner falls exactly under the waterproof piece and is therefore nice to use on cooler nights! See the picture above for the position of the liner.
At the front, the blanket has a very fine disc closure, giving your horse the comfort that the disc does not press on 1 point. See photo 4!
In short, a very fine rug for this period! A lot of thought has gone into this blanket, making it usable in many periods of the year. Ideal so!"
Pick the right size!
Does your horse need a new rug, but you are not sure which size fits best? When buying a horse rug, it is very important that the size is right for your horse. A rug that is too small or too tight increases the risk of chafing spots. A rug that is too big will easily sag, which will eventually damage the rug and make it uncomfortable for the horse. The best way to determine the size of the rug is to measure your horse's upper lengths and lower lengths. Also, how the blanket falls can vary from one blanket brand to another.
